2024 Annual Giving Day
We are pleased to share that we will be celebrating our Annual Giving Day on Wednesday 8 May.
In our 150th year we are looking at our past and stories of people whose belief in the school's vision and mission is the reason we are standing here today. George Russell was one such individual whose belief in our mission was so staunch, he took on the entirety of the school's debt to ensure it could continue to educate, inspire and provide a platform for young women to launch their futures from.
Our investment in increasing accessibility, connectivity and flexibility across our built environment is one of our 6 strategic pillars in our Beyond 150: Strategic Plan , to ensure our school will continue to thrive for the next 150 years.
This year's Annual Giving Day is all about honouring our legacy and ensuring its future for many years to come, so that Toorak can continue it's mission to empower young women to take on the world

Why Philanthropy Matters
We believe that the best gift you can give is the gift of an exceptional education. Toorak College prides itself on developing students with confidence and character so they can thrive in their future, but we need your help to continue striving to achieve our vision.
As an independent school on the Mornington Peninsula, we aim to produce the personal best academic results paired with future readiness. Yet, to achieve these goals, we must ensure we endorse the highest quality educators and invest in state-of-the-art facilities. There are many ways to give back, whether it’s through the gift of time, money or your expertise. Most importantly, all donations, large and small, are important to the School.
Toorak College offers scholarships for girls in order to help inspired students each their full potential. Scholarships enrich our school and support students to follow their dreams. Several Scholarships have been established through the generosity of others including the Alice Sloan Memorial Scholarship, the Christine Friday Arts & Humanities Scholarship, the Margaret Wallace Reid Scholarship and the Swift Science and Technology Scholarship.
There is nothing more important to us than empowering our students to have access to opportunities and resources so they can pursue their passions and influence the direction of social change, nationally and internationally. Our new Community and Arts Precinct will provide the launching pad for our future leaders, our future performers, our future entrepreneurs and our future global citizens. This is where the legendary Toorak Spirit will take flight.
Toorak College aims to ensure our students thrive in this challenging world. We have a long and proud tradition of investing in and renewing our infrastructure so that both current and future generations of students have world-class facilities in which to find their passion. We are primed to continue to strengthen the academic, personal growth, and communal experience for our entire community with our new Toorak College Community and Arts Precinct.

Gifts are life changing
For nearly 150 years, Toorak College has advanced through the generosity of our benefactors. Our students are the beneficiaries of philanthropy from our current parents, Collegians, staff, past families and friends. We are exceptionally grateful to those who have given generously to provide the educational opportunities, buildings and facilities that our students currently enjoy today.
Bequests - The Hamilton Society
For many Collegians and friends of Toorak College, a charitable bequest is the simplest and best way to make a gift to their school. By means of your will or other estate plan, you can name Toorak College as the beneficiary of a portion of your estate, or of particular assets in your estate. Many of the most powerful gifts with an enduring impact have been bequests. Designate your bequest for: Funding scholarships; enhancing library & art collections; launching new programs; new buildings or supporting student awards.
Voluntary Contribution (Current Families)
All voluntary contributions enrich our School for current and future students through the strengthening of our teaching practices, program offerings and learning facilities. If you would like to make a voluntary contribution, please add an amount to the balance of school charges; $500 is listed as a suggestion on each term fee statement, however, every contribution, large or small is greatly appreciated. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
